Reactive & Nervous Dog Support in East Kent

£5 Free for Honest Hounds Members · 1 Hour

Calm, structured walks designed for dogs who need space, distance, and a low-pressure environment to feel safe.

At Adventures with Tilley, Neutral Walks are created for dogs who struggle in the outside world, whether that’s due to reactivity, anxiety, overwhelm, or past experiences.

This is not about forcing socialisation.
It’s about giving your dog the space they need to cope, process, and feel safe.

Getting Started

No assessment is required for Neutral Walks; you can simply book and join.

If you’re unsure, we can always arrange to meet before your first walk, or you’re welcome to attend your first session without your dog to see how it works.

There’s no pressure, just support, at a pace that feels right for you.

Who These Walks Are For

Neutral Walks are ideal for dogs who:

  • React to other dogs or people

  • Are nervous, anxious, or lacking confidence

  • Become overwhelmed in busy environments

  • Are touch sensitive or uncomfortable being handled

  • Are wary of strangers (stranger danger behaviours)

  • Display resource guarding behaviours

  • Struggle to settle or focus outdoors

  • Need distance to feel safe

If your walks feel stressful, unpredictable, or exhausting, you’re in the right place.

What You’ll Gain

Neutral Walks don’t just support your dog, they support you too.

You’ll begin to:

  • Understand your dog’s triggers and body language

  • Feel more in control on walks

  • Learn how to manage space and distance

  • Build confidence handling real-life situations

  • Experience calmer, more predictable walks

This is where things start to change.

What Makes These Walks Different

These are not standard dog walks.

Each walk is carefully structured to:

  • Maintain safe distances between dogs

  • Reduce pressure and overwhelm

  • Allow your dog to observe without expectation

There is no forced interaction.

Dogs are given the freedom to exist without being pushed beyond what they can cope with.

How It Works

  • Small, carefully managed groups

  • Dogs kept at safe, appropriate distances

  • No greetings or direct interactions

  • Owners attend and are supported throughout

  • Guidance is given in real-time where needed

We work at your dog’s pace, not anyone else’s.

Locations

Walks take place across East Kent, including:

  • Woodland areas

  • Countryside routes

  • Quiet open spaces

  • River paths

Locations are chosen to allow space, safety, and controlled exposure.

Important Information

  • Dogs must be on a secure harness and a short line

  • Reactive dogs must be muzzled

  • Owners are responsible for their dog at all times

Full details are provided before attending.
